RPM Laser Systems

RPM and Associates currently has two seperate systems that utilize Laser Deposition Technology (LDT). The first, 353 Laser Deposition System I, has a 3' X 5' X 3' work envelope. The second system, 557 Laser Deposition System II, has a 5' X 5' X 7' work envelope.

353 Laser Deposition System I

The 353 Laser Deposition System I is the first generation system that was acquired in 2004.  The system, an L850R manufactured by Optomec, utilizes LENS® technology developed by Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, N.Mex., and Pratt & Whitney. LENS® is a registered trademark of Sandia National Laboratories.

Since 2004, RPM and Associates has made a number of improvements to the original system to meet the special needs of its customers. The specifications for the 353 Laser Deposition System I are outlined below.
